Ingredients
For the Pastry Base:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup water
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 large eggs
For the Filling:
2 (3.4 oz) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
3 cups cold milk
8 oz cream cheese, softened
For the Topping:
2 cups whipped topping (or freshly whipped cream)
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a saucepan, melt butter with water over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and stir in flour until a smooth dough forms.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the mixture becomes glossy and smooth.
Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 25–30 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Let cool completely.
In a bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk until thickened. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, then fold into the pudding mixture until creamy.
Spread the filling evenly over the cooled crust.
Top with whipped cream, smoothing it out evenly.
Drizzle generously with chocolate syrup and lightly dust with powdered sugar.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.
