Ingredients
For the Crostini:
1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch slices
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup ricotta cheese (whole milk preferred)
1 teaspoon honey (plus extra for drizzling)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Topping:
1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced
1/4 cup balsamic glaze
2 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped
Pinch of flaky sea salt
Instructions
Prepare the Crostini Base:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush each slice with olive oil. Bake for 6–8 minutes or until golden and crisp. Let cool slightly.
Make the Ricotta Spread:
In a medium bowl, mix ricotta cheese, honey, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Assemble the Crostini:
Spread a generous layer of the ricotta mixture onto each toasted baguette slice. Top with a few slices of fresh strawberries. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and a touch of honey.
Finish and Garnish:
Sprinkle with chopped basil and a pinch of flaky sea salt for a burst of flavor. Serve immediately.
