Easy and Delicious Smoked Salmon Sandwich with Cream Cheese

Ingredients

4 slices sourdough bread, rye bread, or bagels
6 oz smoked salmon
4 tbsp cream cheese (plain or herb flavored)
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp fresh dill, chopped
1 tbsp capers (optional)
4–6 thin cucumber slices
4 thin tomato slices
Thinly sliced red onion
Handful of arugula or lettuce
Fresh cracked black pepper
1 tsp olive oil or butter (optional for toasting)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Spread
In a small bowl, mix:
Cream cheese
Lemon juice
Fresh dill
Stir until smooth and creamy.
2. Toast the Bread
Lightly toast the bread slices for extra crunch if desired.
3. Assemble the Sandwich
Spread the herbed cream cheese generously on each slice of bread.
Layer with:
Arugula or lettuce
Smoked salmon
Cucumber slices
Tomato slices
Red onion
Capers
Finish with cracked black pepper.
4. Serve
Top with the remaining bread slices, cut in half, and serve immediately.
