The Best Smash Burger Bowl

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • Salt & black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

the Bowl Base

  • 2 cups shredded lettuce (romaine or iceberg)

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)

  • 1/2 red onion (thinly sliced)

  • 1 cup pickles (sliced)

 the Special Burger Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp mustard

  • 1 tbsp pickle relish

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, garlic powder, and paprika.
Refrigerate while preparing the rest.

Cook the Smash Burgers

  1. Heat a skillet over high heat.

  2. Divide beef into small balls.

  3. Place each ball on the hot pan and smash it flat using a spatula.

  4. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes until crispy edges form.

  6. Flip, add cheese, and cook another 1–2 minutes.

Assemble the Bowl

  1. Add lettuce as the base.

  2. Top with tomatoes, onions, and pickles.

  3. Place smashed burger patties on top.

  4. Drizzle generously with burger sauce.
