1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup whole milk
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chunks
½ cup caramel bits (or caramel chunks)
For the Topping:
¼ cup caramel sauce
Sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease the muffin cups.
2. Prepare the Muffin Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chunks and caramel bits.
3. Bake the Muffins: Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
4. Add the Topping: Allow the muffins to cool slightly before drizzling with caramel sauce. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each muffin while the caramel is still warm.
