Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 tbsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup maraschino cherries, halved and patted dry
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream together butter and both sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.
In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture.
Fold in chocolate chips and cherries gently.
Scoop onto baking sheet and bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
Cool slightly, then devour warm!
