Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits – Delicious and Easy

Ingredients

For the Buttermilk Biscuits:
2 cups all-purpose flour 🌾
1 tbsp baking powder ✨
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt 🧂
½ cup unsalted butter, cold & cubed 🧈
¾ cup cold buttermilk 🥛
1 tbsp honey 🍯 (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
For the Fried Chicken:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 8 slider-sized pieces) 🍗
1 cup buttermilk 🥛
1 tsp hot sauce (optional) 🔥
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour 🌾
1 tsp salt 🧂
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika 🌶️
½ tsp garlic powder 🧄
½ tsp onion powder 🧅
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
Vegetable oil for frying 🛢️
For Assembly:
2 tbsp butter, melted (for brushing biscuits) 🧈
Honey or hot honey drizzle 🍯🔥
Pickles (optional, but highly recommended!) 🥒

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Biscuits
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in buttermilk & honey (if using) until just combined. Do not overmix!
Turn dough onto a floured surface, fold it over a few times, then roll to about 1-inch thickness. Cut into 8 biscuits using a round cutter.
Place biscuits on the baking sheet, close together for soft sides. Brush tops with melted butter & bake for 12-15 mins until golden brown.
2️⃣ Make the Fried Chicken
In a bowl, mix buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken pieces & let marinate for at least 30 minutes (overnight for best flavor!).
In another bowl, whisk flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne.
Heat oil in a deep skillet to 175°C (350°F).
Dredge each piece of marinated chicken in the flour mixture, pressing to coat well.
Fry chicken in batches for 3-4 minutes per side, until crispy & golden. Drain on paper towels.
3️⃣ Assemble the Sliders
Slice warm biscuits in half.
Place a crispy fried chicken piece on each biscuit.
Drizzle with honey or hot honey 🍯🔥.
Add pickles for a tangy crunch 🥒 (optional but amazing!).
Top with the other half of the biscuit & serve warm!
