Ingredients
1 1/4 cups long grain rice, uncooked
14.5 oz can of beef broth
10.5 oz can of French onion soup
1 stick of cold butter, sliced into pats
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat and Prepare:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Spread the uncooked rice evenly in the bottom of an 8×8 inch baking dish.
2. Layer the Flavors:
Pour the beef broth over the rice, ensuring it’s evenly spread.
Next, pour the French onion soup over the rice mixture, infusing it with savory flavors.
3. Add the Butter:
Place the slices of cold butter evenly on top of the rice and soup mixture. This will add richness and help the rice cook to perfection.
4. Bake:
Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes to allow the rice to absorb the flavors and cook through.
5. Finish Baking:
After 25 minutes, remove the foil and return the dish to the oven. Continue baking for another 25 minutes or until the rice is tender and the top is golden brown.
6. Garnish and Serve:
Once done, sprinkle with fresh parsley for a touch of color and brightness. Serve warm as a side to your favorite main course.
