Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
½ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In a separate large bowl, mix sugar and melted butter until smooth.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in milk and vanilla extract.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow bread to cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
Brush the warm loaf with melted butter.
Mix sugar and cinnamon together, then generously coat the entire loaf in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
