Cheesy-Meatball-Sandwich-Melt

Easy Cheesy Meatball Sandwich Melt – Ready in 30 min minutesb

Ingredients

For the Meatballs:
• 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
• ½ cup breadcrumbs
• 1 egg
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
• 1 tsp dried oregano
• 1 tsp onion powder
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp black pepper
• 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

For the Sandwich:
• 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
• 4 hoagie rolls or sub rolls
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
• 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing the rolls)
• ½ tsp garlic powder (for brushing the rolls)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Meatballs:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, oregano, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix until just combined.
Roll the mixture into 1 ½-inch meatballs and place them on a lined baking sheet.
2. Cook the Meatballs:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 18-20 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
3. Warm the Marinara Sauce:
While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a skillet over medium heat. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Prepare the Rolls:
Preheat your oven’s broiler. Split the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet. Brush the insides with melted butter mixed with garlic powder.
5. Assemble the Sandwiches:
Spoon the meatballs and sauce into each roll. Top generously with shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese.
6. Broil to Melt the Cheese:
Place the assembled sandwiches under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
7. Serve:
Garnish with extra parsley if desired and serve hot with a side of chips, salad, or roasted veggies. Enjoy this gooey, cheesy delight!
