2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup milk

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute until smooth and slightly golden.
Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Continue whisking until the mixture thickens.
Reduce heat to low and add shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until fully melted and smooth.
Add garlic powder, paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.
