Ingredients
Simple bone broth recipe:
– 1kg of bones (beef or lamb)
– Few stalks of celery + 2 carrots
– Half an onion
– Fresh garlic cloves 5-6
– Sea salt
– Herbs of your choice (parsley, coriander, rosemary, thyme)
Instructions
– Add all the ingredients in a pan to 1.5 litre of water and bring to a boil.
– Lower the heat and allow it to slow cook for 3-5 hours until you can see a thin layer of fat on top.
– Once ready, find a large, clean vessel to strain the broth into. Use a fine mesh strainer pour the broth into the vessel and allow to cool for around an hour.
There will be a layer of fat on the top, and depending on the meat and type of bone, the fat content will vary.
Freeze in small portions and consume over a month
